Does anyone know of any organic remedies to help with swollen ankles? I was diagnoses with Juvenille arthritis when I was in middle school. back then my doctor prescribed fluid pills, but it seems my body became prone to using them. I elevate my feet everyday after work, but by 9am the next morning they are back swollen. This usually is at it’s worst during the summer season. One doctor also suggested taking 3 Advils a day, but I dont want to take that much medicine everyday. I have tried cutting back on my salt intake as well. Any advise would be helpful, but I’m looking for a natural/organic method.
After reading some of the responses. I am not experimenting. And I know that doctors do not read minds. Maybe some didnt understand what I was saying or maybe reading too fast. I’m not asking why my feet swell… I already know this is part of the arthritis. I have been dealing with this for quiet some time. Anyone taking any medication can become prone to it after a certain amount of time. I have been tested for everything from Lupus, which runs in the family. To diabetes, which also runs in the family. And rhumatiod arthritis. My kidneys and heart have also been monitored. Everything is fine. No one has been able to find any other cause as to why my feet swell besides the arthritis.

i have fibromyalgia and arthritis…i was addicted to vicodin and abused it to great extent for over a year. now that i have gotten off of it with the help of suboxen, my pain issues are back. i have to do something and have an appt. with my neurologist tomorrow. wondering is ultram going to cause a reaction in my brain to make me want more. i know it is a “semi-narcotic” but i never “enjoyed” taking it before and i know that it does work. now that my med tolerance is back down to normal im considering ultram and lyrica but i am scared. ive been clean for 23 days and proud. i definitely do NOT want to go back into the old patterns even tho i cannot get another prescription from my doc for vicodin and i am attending NA meetings regularly i am still afraid..anyone experienced in this subject. i know there are supposedly people out there addicted to ultram, God knows how lol but my ONLY interest here is pain relief. going with excersice and other natural remedies are fine and all but sometimes the pain is excruciating and i do NEED something to take it down a couple of notches…just NO NARCOTICS at least not vicodin. thanks!!!
