I was diagnosed with JIA, or Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. My doc put me on Naprosyn (Naproxen Sodium), but what are some other ways to relieve any pain from any flares that might break through the medicine? Also, my doctor doesn’t want to keep on my medicine for an extended period of time so as to not harm my liver. What might she put me on next?
I can’t take any time of ibuprofen (advil, motrin) as these may cause excessive bleeding in combination with the Naprosyn.

Hard to believe that such a dangerous drug can be purchased so easily. In 2004 The FDA issued a warning about the over-the-counter medication called Naproxen, they noted that its use was associated with an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes.

This is aside from its more general possible side effects like stomach bleeding, liver damage and kidney failure. This is really scary stuff, and yet people still take it on a daily basis, and then wonder why their health is deteriorating.

Arthritis is a painful and destructive disease on its own without the assistance of pharmaceuticals, so why add to the burden your body has to bear?

You have to take steps to make lifestyle changes in order to regain your health. You will never improve your health if you continue to take drugs which have such devastating side effects.

Make an effort to improve your diet, eliminate red meats, cut down on protein generally, eat lots of fresh organic green leafy vegetables, and organic fruits. Diet sodas and sodas in general are not to be taken if you wish to enjoy good health. No more fast foods, alcohol, and cigarettes.

It may be very difficult for you to implement such radical changes in your diet, however, just keep in mind that in order to enjoy a quality lifestyle you need to make the effort.
