No, this is not to be taken, but I have read a number of references to the use of wd-40 for the relief of the pain of arthritis. There are numerous references to its efficacy in providing pain relief when sprayed on painful joints.

It’ a great product when used appropriately for what it was intended, however spraying it on the skin when you have no idea what the ingredients are, does seem a little risky. The manufacturers declare the ingredients to be a secret, so there is no way of finding out what the long term effects might be with continued use.

If the manufacturer warns against skin contact and inhalation of its vapors, then spraying wd-40 directly on to your skin every time joints are painful, and inhaling its vapors, may prove to be extremely toxic indeed.
